Southern Comforts

Sometimes you just need a little reminder of the subtle comforts of home. For me, this week those reminders have come in 4 forms.

1)A much-anticipated visitor from Spartanburg.

2)A pitcher of good ole' sweet tea (too bad we don't have ice in our freezer!).

3)Newspapers Clay collected and brought with him so I could see what was new in Spartanburg.

4)Last but definitely not least, a sweet Valentine's Day card I received today from Dad and Mom that displayed a darling stack of cupcakes (inside a hand-written note proclaimed that my cupcakes were most definitely prettier).

Home is where the heart is...At least that's how the saying goes. But people say I have a big heart, so does that mean my heart can be in multiple places at once? I feel like I have two homes (and I'm working on a third). Lexington is where my family is and 17+ years of memories, but Spartanburg is where I learned to live on my own and be an adult, so they both are dear to me. In August of 2004, I would've never believed that I could call Spartanburg home, but I guess I was wrong.

I'm thankful for the little things!
